Bright enough for Day and Autodims for Night?

I'm looking to install a car PC soon. My only immediate concerns at this point is screen brightness during the day. Are these screens bright enough to see with sunglasses on? Also, does either the Lilliput or Xenarc autodim for nighttime use?

Which screen in better in this respect?

I doubt it, but check out this thread, it seems very promising we may have brighter lcd very soon.

So, give us new LCD touchscreen options!

Working on eh? How involved is the upgrade kit?

So far, unless the LCD screens come up to par, this item is a dealbreaker for me. Wife won't tolerate a less then optimal screen that is also easy to use.

I can see my Xenarc okay with sunglasses on. It's better with them off, but you can see it. I wouldn't call it bright, though.

Use gammacontrol to automatically dim the monitor.
