I've been wondering the same thing. Based on what i've read, I think you can just wire the Xenarc with a Molex connector which can plug into the Opus. So I guess you can chop off the end of the power cord and re-wire that for a Molex connector?
Ok well i am trying to figure out the best way to power my xenarc. I believe every1 says to power it straight to the opus? Now if i do that what wires do i tap in at?
Also people have connected there opus to an ITPS. In this link the 1st picture:

is how to wire an ITPS for the mobo. Basically on the right side(where the dc-dc is) of the ITPS is where i would power my xenarc? or no?

that's what I did.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story
Hey which connector is it the female or male?
Male connectors have little pins sticking out. Think little penises (penii?).
Female connectors have holes where the pins go. Think vaginas.
I really didn't want to chop off my powercord, so I just bought a female cig. lighter adapter from walmart, connected it to a molex pass through cable which I removed from a bad cpu fan, so I didn't lose a molex power connector, and didn't have to damage the Xenarc cable. Make sure you use the 12V rail (yellow/black), but all my cpu fans were wired that way to start with, so it was a 5 minute job.
so i chopped off the Xenarc car adapter egg thingy, and it's got one wire inside another. So I'm guessing the one on the outside is the shield - do i use that for a ground? is there a special trick to doing that?
you could always jsut get some cable and a power socket like the one on the Xenarc.
I actually think Xenarc have their power the oposite ay round to most people (i THINK the +ve is on the outside). I would recommend checking the polarity with a multimeter or an LED and a resistor (use the wall plug adapter if you have already cut your cable)
You don't have to. Just pop open the plastic housing and you can easily desolder the wires where they connect.Originally Posted by electron
I'm powering my Xenarc from the ITPS, not the case PSU.
I'm really starting to wish I had gone with a Carnetix unit.
