broken lilliput? for sale?

i just broke the little tan colored tab that holds down the ribbon cable for the lcd display on the display side of my 7" lilliput touchscreen...anyway to fix it? or should i just part it out? the touchscreen is fuked from the factory...it never calibrated rite from day1. the touchscreen controller and everything else should be good....should i part it out?

you should be able to pick up a new connector from something like DigiKey (or most other electronic parts suppliers). Then it's just a matter of spending some quality time with a soldering iron.

Parting it out is your decision, depends on how good you are with a soldering iron and how likely you are to fry your circuitboard by applying too much heat.

If you are parting it out, how much for the whole thing and how much for just the screen parts (no touchscreen or touchscreen controller).

These break really easily. If you are technically and eletrically inclined you can fix. Search for "lilliput toothpick" on the forums and see how others have fixed it. If it doesn't work for you I will buy it from you.

If you do find the part, please post the part number and supplier. I have the same problem, I have tried the toothpick fix months ago, and even have replaced the cable but still won't work.
