LCD Backlight Upgrade

4CCFL Inverter，supporting PWM，optional for auto-temperature /auto-brightness control.

I feel a 4 tube redsign coming on....

The temperature control is useful for guys in cold places as it warms the screen up by increasing the current.

Well we can do it either way, I can just put all the info we find into the faq at the top of the thread or just continue discussion in the other thread.

I havent had time to contact the company about that stuff

but thats what I was saying earlier, they were taking a standard LCD and just bumping it up.

but if we are going for 1000+nit (what they call medium bright!!!!) we may need new fims to boost the contrast.

Yeah I think we are going to need new films as well, I have a 17" lcd that the controller is fried on i'm going to take the film out of to test with.

I can got many double inverter boards for your project at very low price, please have a look at the picture. it will be less than $10 each if you want more than 10

but I did not buy and test them.

I think what you need is the right part of the board, it is double inverter and powerful for long trubs, the left part is for other porpurs in my understanding.
