Right now? Well I am still looking for inverters and waiting to find out what dragon has come up with.

I have come a bit late in the game, so forgive me if I make an *** of myself. I have read the whole thread, but not lately and not all at once.

What is the position on inverters exactly? I see that the idea of a member making them was brought up, and the reply was more along the lines of "we can't easily do that" rather than "we don't need to do that." Is this accurate or would it be beneficial if someone capable took a stab at it?

eh? current position is: it is unlikely we will get a small inverter capable of powering the long tubes we tested and had ecelltnet results with.

We are currently just finalising an order on a different scheme using much lower voltage that could be better.

A) unnecessary. We've got it under control you peon.
B) something to consider in the future. This next design may not do the trick either.
C) tempting. This isn't looking promising at the moment.

Wouldn't you have to have one first?

I think they are trying some more ideas. However, my impression is, that if you have the knowledge and capability to build what they need, go ahead and let them know, and/or build it, and let them test it.

Seriously, it would better to have someone try, however I would also consider WHO to let help out with this. They have to be caryfull, you never know when someone comes along and steals your idea!!!
