yeah I think the encapsulated units should provide a decent amount of protection

I don't think the fold-out LCDs are going to have enough room for all these extra lamps in the first place. Nor will the standard Lilli or Xenarc enclosures.

actually since we are going for a tube that replaces a lot of the stock componets I think we will be able to fit the LCD into the stock housing, now fold out LCD's that might be a tough one. But you never know.

But people will need to put a lot of cooling in anything with an enlosed back (i am mounting a small fan on my screen). I think we can boost the in-dahs but they will no be able to go as bright for heat reasons. But then again they dont need to be as they can be tilted.

The key is air movement. You jus tneed to keep the aircirculating in your dash.

I handy vent in the top might help too. maybe with some mesh

    faq updated!

I received a e-mail from china, they are finishing up the quality control testing of the tubes. So they should be on time for shipping on Monday the 9th.

also I setup a small website that is going to contain all the pictures and stuff as I test everything.

I just finished a section on taking the hitachi screen apart
