prob with sharp of dash and dww-700m

i got prob with dww-700m, because of the sharp of my dash
    check the picture

black is the best position (for me)
green is default position (after opening)
but when I open it, screen motor stop moving (because of dash).. but will stay here (red)
(so I use button for move screen to black position)

but when I close screen and open it back, it goes at red position
so, I think the screen does not resume last position when it's stopped during opening ?!

I don't think motor will work for a long time.. (open, jammed because of dash, close, [...] every day)

somebody get this prob too ?
idea how to get screen go to black position when opening ?

    sorry for bad english

there will be a contact switch on the side rails inside the unit defining in which position motor should stop ejecting screen (i.e. green position on you picture). chances are you can adjust the position by relocating that switch somehow.

No, it works with an encoder counting the motor rotations.
Beleive me, i understand mine well after the hours i put in to get it working.

mine is very irratic about it... sometimes it will hit the dash, and sometimes it will just stop in the last position.
Does this thing work with some sort of volatile memory ? (thinking of this since i don't leave it powered when the computer is down)

I find that the screen returns to the exact same spot as when it was retracted. Does your go to a different position.

Are you guys keeping the power wires powered, and just switching the accessory wire to get the unit in and out, or are you removing power completely from the unit when you turn the car off?

for the moment i've got it hooked up to the PSU, i.e. not constantly powered. (i'm going to resolder that over weekend)

Normally, when i open my screen it either hits the dash or stops one position further than my last opening position. I would say it's about 25-75% split between what it chooses, but so far i haven't been able to figure out a logic behind it.
