Lilliput 809GL-80NP controls ?

On the Lilliput 809GL-80NP can I just install the screen by itself or does the board have the buttons directly attached to it?

Is it a good Idea to just use the remote or will I be setting myself up for problems here

I think you'd need to as the IR receiver is on that board.
