it is important because it is another motorized screen we will have to pick from when it comes out. looks very nice also. I like the fact it has a built in amp and a volume knob.

I think it is just cosmetic differences. The internal are probably the same (same specs).

I purchased one of the very first Lilliputs back in Oct 03, its still running in my car. Since then, I've been installing them into kits for Subarus - must have hacked apart at least 20 Lilliputs. I could summarize the Lilliput progression as follows:

    Rev 1 Late 2003 - Mid 2004 (The origional)
Rev 2 Mid 2004 - Late 2004 (revised PCB with USB connector for video in)
Rev 3 Late 2004 - Early 2005 (funky connector for USB in)
Rev 4 - Just got one last week from Armen.
(Revision #'s are just what I refer to them as)

I've seen the quality of the PCBs get better, from soldered connections to actual connectors. And better touchscreen panels, flex cable on touchscreen more robust.

The touchscreen overlay has always been the weakest part of the Lilliput, but the Rev 4 that I got last week really suprised me. The LCD panel had a 2004 date code (must have ran out of Panchinko panels?) and looks like it doesn't have any of the ghosting. The touchscreen overlay was way better quality than the old ones. The new touchscreen is very clear and doesn't distort the screen image in any way like the older units did.

Anyway, the newest Lilliputs will give the Xenarc a run for their money. I know the Lilliputs have had a bad reputation, but they seem to have gotten their act together. And in all the units I've installed in bezels, I never had one "fail" or "go bad" on me.

    Now shipping?

I notice that the GL701-TV is now being sold on Ebay (at least in Australia).

Does anyone have one of these yet as I am very tempted to get one?
