from what i hear yes although i don't own one
I decided to steer clear of lilliputs after reading all the complaints here about them. I was going to go for the new linitx screen but am fed up waiting for them to be released. It was meant to be end of march, then mid april, then may.
I really need a screen so am considering the new lilliputs. Does anyone know if they perform any better than the old ones in sunlight?
Thanks for any input

so thats one in favour. Anyone else?
Anyone who owns one of the new ones please post your impressions of it, even if you havent seen the old ones to compare it to.
Thanks
Well,
I sent an email inquiring about these newer Liliputs to their center in Hong Kong. They claim that the screens are sharper and brighter than the Xenarcs. So maybe they are.. but this is them telling me so....

This all sounds good, but would be better if somone could actually verify it.
I have the newer lilliput (629). It is the only screen I've had a chance to see so I have nothing to compare it to. All I can tell you is that although there are times where there is glare, I am always able to read the screen. Note that my windows are not tinted and I don't have a sunroof.
I Have the New Model 7" and haven't had any of the calibration problems as described in the older post. I have had for about 3 weeks and it has run fine since I got it. It is plenty bright and I like the square case better than the old model that jetted out in the front.
The drivers were a little tricky at first to get installed and functioning correctly, but it all worked out in the end.

compared to my old Xenarc, I must say that the new lilliput is quite good and at least as bright. I haven't got it in the car yet, but it seems like they have got their **** together with the new model.
Note: I haven't had a chance to compare it to a new brighter Xenarc, but if it isn't bright enough, you could always get the LCD upgrade kit from jcdillin and scouse.

I have one, i dont know if it's better than the older models but when in direct sunlight you can't see the screen.
