weird lcd problem

ok yesterday i went to turn my carputer on and at first all i got was a black screen. then it came on and worked for a while but then the screen went blue and from around the outside it turned white and the white slowly crept toward the center. so i shut it off and started it again and it worked fine. but it did this twice. any ideas what caused this? also, yesterday while i was driving, for about 10 min whenever i would hit a bump my touchscreen would activate and it would restart the song i was listening to. but then it stopped. any ideas what caused this? thanks.

The bluescreen thing sounds like what I have now and again. It is the connection between the button control strip and the LCD controller working loose.

Well mine does that sometimes, I have found that it is just a loose ribbon cable, did you take the screen apart at all? Also are you running anything else off of the line you are powering the screen with? What power supply are you using for your computer?

jcdillin - what problem are you talkin about the touchscreen one or the blue and white problem? no i haven't taken my screen apart. either the cd player, or the hard drive are on the same power line. im using the atx 1123b power supply. any suggestions how to fix either problem is greatly appreciated. and both only happen at random times so they are really hard to figure out. thanks.

the blue and white problem, well what might be happening is that you are drawing too much from the power line, because when the lilliput doesnt get enough power it will do strange things like that

just as a temp solution you might try powering the screen from the cigarette lighter plug that came with it for a few days and just see if the problem continues, if it works fine then you have found your problem.

I am not sure about the touchscreen issue, I would check out the latest drivers from the lilliput thread in this forum, might fix your problem
