Problem with mini television

I have a mini television (black & white screen) by lenco. it ment to be inside a car and has an antenna, radio and AV input (Phono type socket).
i tried to connect the computer's screen output via an adaptor of VGA to RCA and then to phono and it didnt work... it shows only a black screen...
i tried to connect through the RCA (TV) connector from my display card and its the same...
anyone tried to connect a computer to a mini tv? a black & white one?
please help me!

i think you should try and figure out how to get ANY video source working on the TV... trying it with a computer just adds another level of challenge to it... just try it with DVD player or something else that you know provides good video output. once you get it to display something from that source, THEN try it with the computer.

OK it works with a DVD player... but when u try to plug the computer to it with the methods mentioned above it don't work
ill try to configure the settings of the display driver although i know for sure that it works damn good with a 21" color TV

edit: IT works! the display is only 5 inch but i can see windows! now i only need a program that has a really large fonts so that i will be able to read something... such as song name and album art
