I have it wired to the OPUS Power supply 12v rail. The problem I am having is the colors on the screen ONLY while playing movies or view pictures I get chunky, blocky what ever you want to call it images and I don't know why.

I have tried powering it with the supplied cig lighter plug and also tried this in the house and got similar results. I get a cleaner image with the OPUS PSU vs the dirty power from the cig lighter but I still get the chucky blocks etheir way in videos or pictures and menus.

My display settings are exact to the faq per xenarcs website
    800x480@60 and I tried the 800x480@61 also

This is how it looks on my home computer.

This picture is a little faded from the camera but if you look at the buttons then have the two toned color it looks like its almost 256 colors only.

The funny thing about the screen in the car is that I wired up the just + side of the wire and left the ground unconnected and I thought it was wierd that it power up. My thoughts on this are that it is getting its ground through the vga connector.

I feel like thats not the problem I have since wired the ground wire with no change it color.

When I first but this unit I had one that the touch controller was bad on and it did the same color problem so I don't think this is a wiring issue.

Can someone help me out here I am so it the dark now with this

    thanks

i had the same problem, but i just turned my brightness up and it fixed it. not sure if its good for the screen to be that bright. but yea my gradients were looking very two dimensional and the screen was kinda fuzzy/shaky and so far it works. sry if this isnt the answer youre lookin for
