Xenarc switches resolution 5 times until complete boot. Yuck!

Anyone else having this problem? I have the Xenarc 700TSV 7" LCD hooked up to the Biostar mobo, which supports native 800x480 resolution.

The issue is that upon booting, the PC goes through post, boot screen, windows desktop, and then finally 'powerstrips' its way into native resolution. You can see the LCD screen switching resolution 5 times or so while all this occurs, and it looks fugly (screen flashes, OSD with resolution pops up, etc.)

    Any way to avoid this?

All I can think of is adding a delay to the power of the LCD screen. For example, if the PC takes 15 seconds to boot, then put a 16 second delay on the LCD power, so it turns on only when all is ready to go

I actually tested this theory on by bench set up by unplugging the LCD, and reconnecting it after the PC had booted into Windows desktop. And it worked! It goes straight into native resolution.

Now, what is the best way to add a power delay to that line? Need to do some more homework.

interesting - I get the dreaded amp pop when I start the car. Would I put this on the amp power lead to delay until the computer sound card has initialized during boot to get rid of the pop?

Is anyone esle having the multiple-resolution-switch issue as described in first post? Just wanted to know if it is me only. I can't believe it takes this many rez switches from boot to desktop.

    Everyone has it

BIOS is one resolution, WIndows loading screen is another resolution, then finally Windows is another resolution

I think it would be nice if Xenarc included a way to turn off the status messages
