    Thumbs down lcd troubles...

well, i just got my 40x4 lcd and i am having a few problems. It seems that everything is wired up correctly...the backlight comes on when the computer is turned on, but i have tried lortys and winlcd, and neither of them work. Is there something im doing wrong? Its connected via printer port...but is there something else i need to do?

    thanks!

Try the LCD print utility before anything else... if it doesn't work, then something is wrong.

Search previous messages for "lcd print". For the actual program, just search the net for lcdprint.exe.

well, its broken...is an "arby made" LCD. Is there anyway someone has a wiring diagram of the infamous arby lcds? lets see...the power thing (looks like a weird doodad with 3 strips on it) is broken, and 2 green wires have snapped.
