    Screen Brightness/Contrast & Backlight

Sorry if this was covered before i searched and yielded results mainly about screen brightness nits etc

I was wondering if runing a screen with the contrast and or brightness high 80-100 is bad for the ccfls or if it reduces the life of them like raising the backlight setting does or are these independant of each other?

The contrast and brightness are controlled by the LCD logic, the backlight setting is changing the backlight brightness. If your using all stock parts on the LCD, leaving those settings at a high level should have no effect whatsoever on the screen.

so in short, they are independant of each other
