VGA LCD Quality with long VGA cable?

I'm curious about VGA LCD's (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1318208206 - like this on eBay)

I know it's pricey, and I'm not too sure if I wanna buy a VGA one, but the resolution would rock.

I know about the loss of video quality over a long VGA cable, but will all I need to do then is go from my video card to the LCD straight? No TFT controller card or splicing of cables?

BTW - I can still go touchscreen too if I wanted, right?
