A few Double Din monitors

A 7" is almost the size of a double din slot, so there isn't much space left.
So 1-3 and 8 is possible, 4 & 5 could possibly go behind the screen,
6 - don't see the point, 7 - no space for it.

that thing would be perfect. thats what i really want, be able to access the slot load drive on computer thats behind the monitor there.

I would definately bite on that. especially if it allowed for the "closed" position to be angled out slightly and not completely vertical, to get the best viewing angle

You might be able to buy one of these here and modify it. I emailed some people to ask if I can swap a xenarc into that unit. I don't have any tools for bending sheetmetal etc so I cannot really build such a case. I would really dig one that allowed a slot load dvd behind it though that would be sweet. Obviously this one will not though. Ah well, life is hard.

Search the forums. You can fit a slim slot-load drive in the housing for the Xenarc 700IDT. It's not motorized and it's single-DIN, but to cram all that into a single unit is pretty damn cool if you ask me.
