I have a Sage S550, I have only used it with a 10" 640x480 but it works fine. It works with a variety of panels (needs panel-specific BIOS chip though), but you will have a very hard time finding a 800x600 hicolor panel that is smaller than 12". I have seen 10" at that resolution but they are rare. If you want a pdf of the S550 manual and a link for updated drivers send me an email. Good luck.

The compaq IA-1's have a 10.4 inch 800x600 display. They were selling for around $99. Probally can find one on ebay or on linux-hacker.

Interesting, I never heard of the IA-1 before now. Looks like a cool toy, but from what I can gather the display is passive matrix, so the quality is probably sub-par. And without knowing the spec for the panel it's hard to say if it would work with that card.

I have seen some 10" panels on eBay that were SVGA, but again they are rare. I think they were LGE or Sharp brand. I have a Sharp LQ10D421, super bright industrial panel and good color, it is only VGA but adequate for Winamp and GPS, not great for DVD. Another panel that should work is LQ10D363.

I would love to find an SVGA panel that is in the 8-10" range, just haven't had much luck there.
