Post Anyone ordered controllers from earthlcd?

Well I won one of those 10.4" lcd's with touchplate that have been on ebay for a while and have talked with some people who won other auctions and they said that the controller from earthlcd that integrates the LCD control and the touch control into one board is the way to go. but none of them seem to have ordered one yet so looks like i am the guinnea pig. so if anyone has had experience with these controllers, let me know before i go drop 300 bones on the thing. thanks

I bought one of those panels too a while back. I don't know about the integrated card from Earth, but I did test it with an Earth touchcontroller and it worked ok. The panel I got was a 4-wire made by Cybertouch, they quoted me $125 for their controller.

And I have used the Earth display controllers before, seemed to work ok. They sell one with an external cable too, handy if you need to run the display a distance from the box. Don't know if that helps or not, but it does seem like integrated would simplify things a bit.

I got my 12.1" LCD from them and the controller (I don't know if it's the same) has worked very well.

Works fine with DVD's and everything else I've thrown at it.

are you talking about the goldstar screens with cybertouch touchscreens? if so, i think you talked to me over hotmail. anyway, i was going to ask allenrubble if his controllers will work for the screen, but i cant remember if the screen has a 31 pin hirose or what. im at work now, otherwise i would check on it. see what kind of connection the screen has, and if it is a hirose connection, check with allen to see if his controllers will work. and then let me know

if it isnt that goldstar screen, then, um, nevermind...

yeah, i believe i had talked to you hotmail style. it is a goldstar screen with cybertouch plate and there is a 31 pin hirose on the back. i would also like the touch feature so i was thinking of just getting the whole integrated one but maybe try allens. i will let you know my results as soon as i figure out what to do.
