Wanted to give an update... I purchased the same screen and installed it yesterday. Works great, and apparently they're doing the LED light mod before they ship out because my unit doesn't stay illuminated when the key's turned off... it's much more sturdy and better built than the homemade lilliputs that I got originally from Armen.

Confirm the same. Been running mine on the bench. Hope to put it in the car tomorrow. When powered off the additional lights do turn off. I looks as if the screws that hold the case have been removed to gain access to the inside. Good thing they did the work for me because there's not much left of the screws to allow me to take them out again...

It was cheap, all i care about. Now i need to find out about the innards of this thing cauuse i know its coming to me with problems...

I'm wondering if there's a way to lower the button lighting using a resistor or a potentometer. I mean, the reisstor would be a permenant setting and the potentometer woudl be adustible.

Also, with the fact that it doens't remember where you left the screen, do you think that replacing a main gear (one that recieves the highest torque) with a force gear rated at only so much N/m would be a good idea? THat way, when i opens, if it hits something, it won't try to finish forcing the opening?

Also, questions on this:
i know mine will be coming with a bad motor. I don't particualarly care if it opens and closes if i can't fix it, i just want it to tun on and off and work with the touch screen. For those of you who had open and close issues, if it stays open, does it take just as long to turn the screen on or is it instant (ie, is it turning on the screen a timed event or is it based on sensors)

I have recieved the item for 2 days ago. Everything is working fine, but unfortunately, the mouse point is always opposite on the computer's screen every time I pointed on the touch screen after I hook up the touch screen to the computer. When I touch on the bottom of the touch screen then the mouse on the computer is click on the top of the computer's screen and also left, right, top also. Anybody knows that is a hardware's problem or software's problem ?

There's a calibration setup, split screen setting, and dual display support thingy in the touch driver control panel.

wow, I did not know that I have to do calibration twice then the mouse'll move correctly. Anyway, thank AWDNUT very much.

Had mine for a while which is great, seem to be getting a loud 'clicking noise' when turning off though, even when unit is powered off.

Even when unit is closed, turn off the ignition and click click click!!

Only just started doing it???

Any ideas on how to tune the TV in, what a crap manual!!

I will chime in a bit late, and give my recomendation for this screen as well. The nice part is when closed, it looks like a low end stereo component for would-thievs

I got VERY Luck in the fact that the screen, when open) rests tightly against the divider between the A/C controls and the center vents. This gives the screen a TOTALLY solid feel, with no movement whatsoever.
