    Question LCD inverter question

    I have 8.4" sharp lcd(got from ebay) and looking for inverter for that lcd.
    well I have 2 laptop computer , and I was wondering if I can use one of their inverter with the sharp lcd?

    the inverter adapter are different but I can cut the wire and put it together, , but i want to make sure if it will work , before I fry anything. what do you think?

    in a word... Yes...

    however with inverters only costing about $12-15 i would just recommend buying a new one just to be safe and happy

    If you do end up cutting an inverter and wiring it to your new panel, remember:

    When splicing the high-voltage wires, use plenty of insulation on the connection. Several layers of heat-shrink tubing should do the trick. You don't want the inverter to produce an arc. This is a quick way to cause a fire or worse!

    But other than that, have fun and let us know how it turns out!
