my 700TSV has never had any problems, it worked with pretty much every resolution and I have never had a problem with it disconnecting. it comes on everytime I power the car up, and it works well.![]()
I've got an 'original' 700 series Xenarc which has many problems for me, namely
Doesn't self power on. Requires real careful setup of the graphics card, and recently the cable connector at the monitor end has gone south.
Are the new Xenarcs really the nevana that I'm hoping for.
Run at any resolution (OK many resolutions), 800x480 native still best, powers on by itself and has a more sturdy cable connector.
I don't want to upgrade and be disappointed by something that is as tiresome and fiddly as the old one.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks
Chris

Same here. Everything you mentioned has not been an problem with me and my 700TSV.
I have an 800TSV and it works great, no problems. Not sure about 800X480

My only complaint with my 700TSV is the screen brightness - I was hoping that the newer ones would address this. I bought mine in April of 2005.
I just got another one the other day from xenarc, I love the new ones. The connector is worth it alone. My other one is just chilling on my desk right now seen as I have to replace the connector on the controller board.
Oh yea, USB is a plus too!
As for brightness, I think it is a little bit brighter.
Also, the new ones have a 5 wire touch panel instead of 4 wire.
