I have never experienced the same problem so this is just an idea: where is the USB plug is connected to? If it's connected to USB hub, is it properly powered?
So i installed the touchkit software, but when i plug in the usb cable, i get a device not recognized notice in windows xp pro w/sp2.
I tried manually installing the drivers by going to device manager, update drivers > then manually pointing to the touchscreen.inf files in the driver directory.
I get an error message saying "the file contains no data about your hardware ect..."
its a 629 model, brand new, everything else seems to be working fine, i checked the din connector, no bent pins there, all the connectors are tight.
It seems like it would be a software issue but i really have no idea at this point.
HELLPP!!!

i'd start by deleting all of your USB drivers, and letting windows pick them back up. If you've just installed service pack 2, its a common problem that your USB devices will act up. Secondly once you have reinstalled your usb driver (might need the motherboard CD, or drivers from your mobo's website), install the touchkit drivers. I believe xenarc has one on their website....it will work with the lilliput.

I've successfully installed the touchkit software, how do i install the drivers?
If i go to the file that i've extracted, there is a setup icon, that installs the touchkit software. But how do i install the drivers. The way that i tried to do it should work correct?

im sorry to say that the only way I managed to resolve my lilliput usb device not recognized problems was to send it back to my supplier and get a non lilliput motorised screen instead.
I think it may be a problem with a faulty din connector, i sqeezed mine tight and it recognized the device for a second, but i couldnt get it to work again after that. Im trying to source a new cable
