noob character lcd help

this has probably been asked before but please bear w/ me.

i took a 3x16 character lcd from a Ge cordless phone. the # on it is lbl-9917g

it has some letters on the back where the wires hook up :

VCC
SCLK
CS
SID
RST
GND
LED

Well i'm assuming he was probably trying to use the LCD for something, which would have been highly unlikely that you could have used it with anything on the computer anyways. So dont feel bad that you broke it.
