Anybody know the answer to this question? is 500 enough? or do I need to go with a 1200? I searched the forum and this is the only post I came up with
I did a search and couldnt find annything....
Annyone know how bright it needs to be to show up in daytime ?
I have :
6.4 LCD TfT(composit in) = Bright colors, image sucks
8.4 LCD TfT(VGA IN) looks great, wont fit in car - selling it.
My friend has a 10.??? with a crisp VGA interface, but the image is really dark, I dont know what his nit rating is, but I know I want something beter.
So I decided to shell out the bucks and get a 6.4 VGA, but I want to be crystal clear on the brightness, most of these places dont take returns
Anny advice on the nit rating ?

earthlcd ( or flat-panel.com) once had info posted that 500nit is sunlight visible.
They removed it now once they updated their website.
that's all I remember.
Carlos C told me that his 200 nit 6.4VGA is somewhat visible during daylight but he said it might be bc of the glare of the plexiglass =) i hope that helped.
