    help with install

I need to install my 7 inch tview touchscreen to my civic. I do not know where to run the 12v wire to. Does anyone have a diagram or pictures on how to run the wires so that when i turn on my car my monitor turns on. anything will be very helpful thanks.

    1) Quit reposting the same question over & over again.

    2) The reason you reposted the same question is because you didn't get an answer. Why didn't anyone give you an answer? Because this has been covered in the LCD forum over and over again.

    3) Did you get a manual with your TView? Did you read it?

    4) Did you attempt to contact the manufacturer for assistance?

    5) Did you search these forums for a related keyword (perhaps TVIEW as a keyword would yield some useful results)?
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

So that the n00b will at least know what he/she needs to do to locate his answer.

Call it a shove in the right direction.

Yep find someone who’s not stuck up his own rear end.

I will help you out on this on M8, even though you might be in the wrong place.

After all, if your going to find the time to type it might as well be constructive.

Get yourself a cheap multi-meter, and set it to DC, expose your ignition switch so you can see the wiring, with your meter turned on put the black to ground (earth) now test the wires with the red end and find a wire that gives you a 12v reading only when the ignition switch is turned on. When you find it, connect your switched live from the screen to it.

    Hope this helps

And telling someone to RTFM isn't constructive?
I think it's far more constructive than giving someone a step-by-step procedure.

Let people learn for themselves. They become more educated.

I dont think he will find the info Regal mentioned in any monitor Manual, however you are both right, stop this. BIGMO has his info, will probably ask a stupid question again, DarquePV will probably repost himself and someone kind enough will answer the stupid question asked by BIGMO or any other noob. Thats life...live with it!

P.S. What colour (or color, depends on where you live) is the standart 12v line of a car?
