No the USB doesnt power the screen. The wire that has the two video connectors has a wire that you connect to a 12V source. That is what powers the screen.Originally Posted by bzellinger
Tview T-700TS. Just got it today. Here's what I did:
1. Plugged in USB to computer.
2. Popped in CD
3. Installed for XP
4. After installation, it said to either restart computer or unplug and plug back into computer. I did the latter.
Well after much thinking, I did notice that the little green light never went on to begin with. I thought the USB was supposed to power the LCD. Is that correct? If that's the case, is it safe to assume that I have a DOA?. However, XP did detect a touch screen display in device manager. When I touch the LCD, the mouse does move, albiet it's reversed. Also I get a beep from the motherboard (not windows) when I do touch it. So even though it doesn't power on, windows detects it. What do I do?

Oh, and thanks for the laugh.
Give the screen adequate power, for one. However, XP did detect a touch screen display in device manager. When I touch the LCD, the mouse does move, albiet it's reversed.
