    Question LCD in glovebox

Has anyone put their TFT LCD in their glovebox? So basically you just open your glovebox and the LCD folds down?

I have a 95 Civic and I thought this might be a good place for it if I go tft.

Plus its a little bit of security... only thing is its a little more angled and a little further away.

sounds like too much work for me. maybe it would be cool if somehow you made a custom enclosure around the lcd and glove box so that you fold the glove box down when you want to see it and the lcd would be all you could see.

I'm currently implementing this in a 98.5 Audi A4 too. I'll try to post pics when I'm all done. I already have the 6" LCD in the glove box and the MP3 system works, but I'm making an IRMan for remote control and custom buttons to go in the center console too. Then to finish it off I'm gonna make the LCD look all nice in the glove box. Hope yours goes well!

I was also planning to do this, hopefully with a fairly large LCD (10"-12") in my 96 Volvo 850 sedan.

Still in the planning stages right now, but I hope to start work in the next few weeks.

Maybe it's just me..but it seems like that would be way too far to see from the drivers seat. Especially when the car is moving, you can't exactly stare at the screen.

Thats what I was thinking. But I guess it depends on the car and how far away the glove box is. Also if you have a larger screen it wouldnt be soo bad.

I'm putting my system together this week, and I'm not mounting my LCD in the glove box, but I'm going to keep it in there when I need to take it off. I've been keeping it in there for the past week to see how it handled the heat. I've seen people living in Arizona, so I wasn't worried about the Norfolk, VA heat ... but I now may have to worry about the humidity. The other day when it was about 84 outside, I checked on the LCD and it was sweating! Anyone have any suggestions?
