How to get a Legacy LM71 working plz help!

Hey guys.. I just picked up a Legacy LM71 7.2" LCD screen from a friend.. for virtually free.. I've read up on it and I hear the quality isn't fantastic.. but since I didn't really pay anything for it I won't complain.

The issue is that it has only 1 connector wire on it.. which is a 6-pin cable.. basically EXACTLY like a keyboard cable.. I can plug a PS2 keyboard cable right into it... My video card and DVD players I've looked at have the 4-pin S-Video connector.. so how the hell am I supposed to run this damn screen?

Some help would be greatly appreciated.

    I just found this online..

What ya guys think of that? Sure would like to find a way to wire this myself though.. seeing as I have 2 S-video cables I can bust up.. not to mention a keyboard PS2 6 pin cable I cut up.. I got the parts just need to know the wires!

Ok, here is some more info and a pic..

If I give 12V to the red wire and that black wire (that's just shrink wrap) once that black wire hits the cable it goes uncovered.. it's just a stranded wire.. Apparently for ground.

If I give 12v and ground I'll get the screen to turn on.. comes up with a load of gray vertical lines.. Not very close together.. another reason why I'm thinkin this screen is gonna suck for text resolution. But anyway I haven't been able to find a combination of wires to get video yet.. I've tried them all really.. This thing has a built in speaker as well.. stupid tiny little heap of crap at that.. so I'm assuming 1 or 2 of those wires is for the speaker .. might explain the 6 pin PS2 connector?

btw, wire colors are red, black with heatshrink on it (apparently for shield ground) yellow which also has continuity with black wire, pink and brown.

did you ever get anywhere with this mate?

I'm pretty sure on mine that:

    Red: 12v
    Black: Ground
    Yellow/Orange: S-Video
    Brown: Audio

I can't get mine to turn on with a simple 12v across red/black, which leads me to believe that the 'cable' might contain some other components.....? It just 'flashes' up the vertical lines before turning off......

OK, i've now got mine powered on, but no signal getting through similar to above.

Is there anything anyone can think of that I might be missing about s-video? I've just jabbed the yel/orange wires into the two pins at the back of my lappy, and nothing..............
