    Question lcd contrast and backlight

How do i wire up the potentiometers for the contrast and backlight? I have everything but the potentiometers wired up. All I know is the ground goes to one of the outside legs (or am I wrong?)
    Thanks for the help

For the brightness, wire +5 to an outside, and the middle goes to brightness on the lcd.

For the contrast, the ground goes to an outside, and the middle goes to the contrast on the lcd. Just ignore the +5 for the contrast, it isn't needed

Ok, I still dont get it. I think I have it right for the contrast, but the backlight isnt working. What goes to pins 15 and 16 from the pot?

Pins 15 and 16 are +5 and ground.

put the pot between the +5 volt wire and the backlight +5 pin, and then connect the other pin to ground.

If it doesn't work, try reversing them, you may have the polarity backwards
