i would yell at you to search....because people always post similar things....but damn....that is cheap......and it doesnt say a brand name......no really good pictures either to indicate rebranding.

Does anyone own or know anything about this LCD and why is it so cheap?
I am new to the car computer stuff but have been reading a lot lately (and have a bachelors degree in computer/electrical engineering).
What i ultimately want is mp3 and gps in my car ('05 Ford Focus) w/ the ability to expand later on (rear view camera, wifi, etc...)
I was looking at mounting a touchscreen lcd in the dash but that seems terribly complicated and expensive (because I cant do it myself). Therefore the next best option seems to be these motorized lcds, however they are pretty expensive also.
The cool thing i noticed aboiut this one is that it tilts up/down/left/right.
Any suggestions for me as for lcd? or anything a newb might want/need to know.
For hardware I plan to get a via mini itx motherboard(1ghz, 60gb hd, 1gb ram) and an opus 80w psu w/ that voomPC case.
thanks.
oh and where do you put the psu? is there a case for it? i imagine it has to be pretty close to the motherboard because the wires that come with it are 12" or something. does it go in the cpu case?
okay enough questions for now. i suppose i may have put this message in the wrong place now that i have gone on a tangent and asked a billion questions.

i did not realize it was not fully motorized. I imagine it works like a laptop cd rom drive ejecting? where there is a motor that sort of just unlatches and spits the tray out a little bit?
im seriously considering this thing if no one tells me otherwise
Well for the record, I emailed the seller on EBAY and asked about power consumption. He says < 9W... I havent checked other LCDs but that sounds reasonable.
SO DID YOU buy that LCD or not ?
Link didn't work ............. *scratch's head* .....hmmmm .... then I look at the date .....![]()
