    Thumbs up Finally! LCD came

My free 4x40 lcd came from datainternational!
I hooked it up, and it boots, and I can get it to display stuff on the first 2 lines, but not on the last two, thats probably due to my crappy soldering job, I'm gonna get my uncle to help me with it this weekend.
Oh, and it has an EL backlight, but all the pins are labeled for it is A and K, whats with that? There is a pin 17 and 18, but it looks like they go to the same place as the A and K dealies, so I think I will try applyiing +5 to the 17 and 0v to 18 and find out what happens.
I've been trying to use MPXF and MPXplay, but that made me mad, so I think I'm gonna use Linux with Freeamp and LCDproc, it seems pretty nice.

If it look the same as the other 4x40's (white strip going under lcd with two solder spots on the end) it doesn't have an inverter on there. If it has an inverter already, it's gonna have a transformer on there, and they're pretty big (1/2"cube)

As for the bottom lines not working, check pin 15 (E2)
