    Display size

I've been looking at installing a pc in my car for a while now. I haven't gone out and bought anything yet, because I don't want to spend so much money and it be wrong, mainly the monitor.

I have all the comptuer parts I need at home, but I don't have a monitor yet. I was wondering if any one knew what size monitor I should get. I mean, I thought a 7" 16:9 monitor would do it, but I saw one guy on here who had a camaro, and it left space on either side of his monitor. I really want this to look as professional as possible. Any way, I know that Camaros have a 1.5 DIN head unit, if this helps.

Measure your opening. Measure some of the various screens that are available. Do some cmparisons and determine which screen will fit the best with the least amount of fabrication-work.
Another option is one of the several motorized or non-motorized flip-out monitors that are available. There's even a flip-down monitor to mount to the roof if you'd rather go that route.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
