Ive added a 6ft cable to mine for a total of 10 feet. I dont have any distortion. How far are you looking to go, ive got more extentions I can try it for ya.
Is there a known maximum distance that you can carry a video signal over standard monitor cables? Is it possible to connect multiple video cables together to create a longer cable?
thx

Don't laugh...I would like to go 25ft. This is for a project in my house.
25ft should be fine
I've run serial mouse, keyboard and monitor cables 50 ft. before. That is the max distance for the RS232 spec though, so I'm not sure how much further it could have gone, but it worked fine at that distance. Remember though, your milage may vary based on your hardware and the quality of your cables.
25ft aye?...I can test it tonight when i get home. I know I have atleast 22ft...Im sure I can scrounge up another 3. You setting up a home entertainment system or something? We are taking about the 15 pin cables right and not composite video (the yellow ones)

Thanks for the help. Yes, I'm talking about the 15-pin cables. And yes, It's for a home entertainment idea. It's related to my other post.
All that I could scronge up was 21ft. It worked w/o problems. The signal would probable just fade and not just cut out. So another 4 feet would probably not do too much if anything.
