LCD Screens - VGA or NTSC
Hi guys, first post here... I noticed a lot of people use NTSC LCD screens instead of VGA. How come? I would think that the clarity would be a lot better with a VGA screen, am I missing something or is it just a cost issue? Are the VGA screens a nightmare to configure?
What about using all the wiring that comes with the laptop screens? I've got a LQ9D011 screen from an old 486 laptop with a contrast control that I could easily build into my car using the whole flip-up screen. Any thoughts about keeping the contrast control? Looks like I need a special VGA card to control the screen to start with, am I right? And it looks like the card is hard to find, from some of the other posts.
Thanks.

it's because VGA costs more. try earthlcd or eio for the controller.
