Question How do I get my PC to be viewable on a TV....

I've been perusing the forum for sometime now. I have recently purchased an adaptor that takes my VGA out and converts it into an RCA connection. I tried to see if it works with my tv at home and it doesn't. I can vaguely make out that it does show my background and stuff but the screen rolls around beyond acceptable viewing.

    Any ideas? Please be gentile!

check your "vertical hold" setting on your TV and you converter (if it has one)

The convertor is nothing more than a cable adaptor. No box. I don't see any verticle hold on it. When I get to work tomorrow, I'll give a link to the cable adaptor I am using.

sounds like he is trying to run a tv on the vga sig. but it has the wrong virt/horz freq. to do that you need to CONVERT not just adapt with a cable!

That adapter will not work. It is made for laptops that have a tvout on the regular VGA pinout.

Figured! That sucks! How about the TVAtor made by Antec? I just purchased one for $10 bucks off ebay but can't really find much info on it. Here's the link(s) to what I got. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...6&ed=998622697

There is also another auction with the same exact product: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1266107202

    Ever heard of it?
