    Making a LCD screen

I cannot afford to buy one so I want to make an LCD screen dash. I was wondering if anyone had any information in actually making an LCD screen. Thanks

As in the glass, backlight and colored pixels.

Boy those colored pixels are a *****, once I spilt my jar of red ones into my blue ones, I could have cried tears of purple rain.........

No, I plan on buying an old game boy or cheap LCD screen. I just need to know what I have to do to make it display stuff. I want it to display oil temp, gas, etc in small race care for formula one.

You need a controller. You'll find plenty of reasons on other threads why this isn't such a hot idea ( I think it's also in the FAQ.)

For a budget display, I recommend either a character LCD or an old PDA (for which you can get software to act as a monitor to your comp; I'm sure you could also get monitoring software for the PDA, and skip the comp entirely.)
