OMG, that's soooo awesome! not only are they super thin, but they use a very small ammount of power (3.5 watts.)
Too bad they don't mention anything about the price![]()

well according to maximumPC, the reason the technology was invented was because it is cheaper. it also provides a better resolution.

Should we be worried that the Candescent.com web site is not working right now?
Also, it may be cheaper and thinner... but what about durability, reliability, etc? Hopefully it won't be too fragile.
Wouldn't it be awesome to have a 7" SVGA screen for $300?drroooolll....
Free entrance to heaven? WOW! I DUN BELIEVE! JC!
When can we see something like this?? Are we talking years? Decades?? NEVER??!!! I think this is a very cool idea. . .hopefully consumers will be able to buy something like this in the near future (like, uhmmm, tomorrow??).
Oldschool
I went to the manufacture site and they have them made and are being used. This isn't something they are talking about doing they have it completed. Now they state 12 to 24 months before the mainstream computer world sees them. I'm still trying to figure out how I can get my hands on the OEM development model of their 5" ish screen![]()
