I know you can get them for under $500 here too http://www.carputersfordummies.com/Xenarc%20700IDT.htm
Just talked to them about one of these nice screens! Will probably get one myself.

so this one is not so reflective? Would you still need an upgrade to have good daytime visibility? I have a convertible, so sun is a much bigger deal for me.

doesn't that display have the same rated brightness as the lilli? Just the anti glare coating thats making a difference?
hello, I am new to this
and
I am wondering if this mechanism is good enough for off-road environments.
any suggestions for off-road use?
I had this screen and it's going to the Russman tomorrow. Yeah, I think Xenarc had issues with this unit early on. QA sucked and my first unit wasn't even a true DIN size (about a mm or two too wide). My latest unit, fresh from overseas is rock solid. I haven't fired it up, but the mechanism is great. It feels rock solid.
Another great thing is that this is an in-dash Xenarc that's fully warrantied. Once you take apart your Xenarc for the in-dash conversion on some other units, your warranty goes bye-bye. You get Xenarc quality in a sleek solid unit which has the possibility of adding a slim-drive to it. Also, let me mention that the unit has internal power regulation. There is a circuit board inside this unit (aside from the Xenarc controller board) that has a relay for power switching and regulation. Also, the unit is relatively low-key. The bluish oval button-looking device is nearly black in the dark. To me, this is important since it lowers the risk of idiot robbers searching for something flashy in a car.
shameless plug in my sig for my unit...it's pending sale to therussman2002 tomorrow

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't subscribe to the thread...
Yes, I believe this unit is rated at the same brightness, but I think that ratings is measured before the TS and glass and stuff. This one seems to be brighter to me. Also, I have discovered that when my windows are down you can not see the picture in direct sunlight. I have 20% tint, and that gives enough coverage for full visibility. I would not recommend this screen in a convertible. I don't think any Xenarc/Lilliput would do.
If you have a coupe/sedan, get a nice 20% or so tint job and you will be very happy with the results.

It was removed from mp3car.com for awhile as well. This was the perfect solution to me. I could leave it out for most of the time, and stow it when needed. I'm glad it's back. I too would like to know what some of the quality issues were. The price seems to have dropped as well. My records show it at $599 before it was taken off. Now it's $440.Originally Posted by kickercivic1
