I just got one of these 700IDT in dash screens. It has come with the wrong manual, so not sure how to power it up. Anybody know where the cables go? The vga/video/usb harness is straightforward. I also have a round plug with a cigarette adaptor attached, a 4 pin plug with yellow (fused), red and black wires, and a 4 pin plug with a black wire and a red loop (connects 2 pins). Can anybody tell me what these wires/plugs etc are for, which ones i should use and where to wire them. Or, if you have a pdf or doc of the manual that would be great also.
Thanks in advance.
where did you guys see this for 440?
i just got my 700idt from another mp3car forum member, and hooked up the cig lighter, no dice... then i plugged in the 4 pin lug with a black wire and a red loop, and now it powers on (if it has a signal anyway)
i bet it uses that plug for always-on operation, and the other plug for some ignition control? who knows
the mp3car.com store has it for 440...
Let me see if I remember....
To use the cig lighter adapter you need to connect the red and yellow wires together.

Yeah, but the new replacement I got from Xenarc came with a pre-modded version of that plug.Originally Posted by markbuts3
Russ, I sent you the new plug one along with the old modded one. They both do the same thing.
