will that hold?
This is the set up im going for. i put it in the car and it fits perfectly. The dash for the 1989 Civic has a recess in the the top that accomodates the screen like it was factory i guess. as good as im going to get it anyway. And it doesnt shake at all. sweet.
will that hold?

same screen as me
where did you get that mount from?
Its from a satellite radio kit. Not exactly sure where. you can buy any suction cup mount and unscrew the part that came with your screen. on my mount they fit together.
Hows the picture quality of the screen? How does it compare to the other lcd brands?
At 640x480 the picture quality is great, anything higher then that, and it severly downgrades the performance. I just hope that is not going to be completly useless in the sun, although i think it is. Any body use this in there car yet. How does it hold up guys?
Mine seems to be pretty good. The ange coverage is GREAT, best I've seen to date. I have it mounted in the center console of a 97 Expedition facing directly back and both my wife and I can see the image without any discoloration or decrease in brightness. Whites look slightly yellow when I have my laptop open next to it, but when the laptop is tucked away for driving, you'd never know.Originally Posted by CTcarPC

One thing though, the touchscreen surface is very smooth (not matte), so it very reflective. In my application, I have it angled in such a way that it is only reflecting the roof of the truck (a medium grey). This is probably not the monitor to mount if you have a narrow vehicle (it's very easy to get the reflection of the passenger in the screen).
