probably 200-300 or so. i was actually inspired by your setup but honestly have to say i hate those buttons to death hehe. do you know a good screen that will help with reflection from the sun and taht will fit nicely and either wont need the buttons or has tiny ones. i was leaning towards the xenarc 700 series (i think thats the ones). they have small buttons and i noticed alof of people jsut remove them completely.

Remove those button or leave them there is up to you. The board for the button is separate from the main one. Xernac screen is a better one than the Lilliput, but newer Lilliput quality is not that much behind Xernac to justify the price different.

I only have the Lilliput so I don't know how it is compare to Xernac.
The Lilliput I have is fine. Not much of glare when the sun doesn't hit the screen directly. If you can till the screen toward the driver side, it will be perfect.
