    Blurry Lilli 8" TS... :(

Haven't been able to find anyone else with this prob, so:

I've been running my CarPC for a few months now, but it's really been bugging me lately...I want clear font/pictures on my screen.

The only resolution I can pull up using XP is 800x600...and I think the problem might be that the native resolution of the screen is 640x480?

I'm running the MII 10k mobo. Any other info needed?

    Any suggestions?

I also have the 8" Lilliput, and I know what you mean. Use 640x480. It looks good at that resolution. Any other resolution other than it's naitive of 640x480 is going to look blurry. Make sure you have the latest touchscreen drivers here.
And also enter in the codes to have it auto power on, as discussed here. (see post #58)

Ohhh ok. With the updated drivers will I be able to select 640x480? Because right now my only option is 800x600...

I will install the new drivers though, thanks!

*Thank goodness someone else has had this problem!*

Well, I just installed the new TS driver and did the 4pt calibration, and the screen looks as it should (crisp lettering and all) eventhough I didn't change the resolution.

Also, I can't move the cursor on the screen with either my finger or the stylus...the mobo just keeps beeping at me. WTF...

Ok, went out again, plugged in a PS/2 mouse and got the TS working. The screen was fine (sharp) for about 30secs then instantly turns back to being blurry again... And I still can't select any resolution or refresh other than 800x600/60hz. :\

some lilli are 800*600 native, others are 640*480
by the way using 2k/xp you can select 640*480 res under screen properties/settings/advanced/adapter/list all modes
try 60 or 75hz, see wat works better for your screen

I had a problem similar to that (XP not offering naitive resolution) on my laptop, and maybe this can help you. D/L and install Powerstrip, (free) then select 640x480. Then reboot. Then once it is working, un-install Powerstrip. Re-boot, then it should allow you to do 640x480 in XP.

Nope, I tried that before. Only lists 800x600 and 60hz.

Well it seems the screen is sharp again...it's weird... :\

But if it happens again I will install PowerStrip, thanks.
