Auto on DWW-700H and another question

Wondering if anyone on here has got their 700H to power on when it gets power? I'd like to be able to turn the car on and my screen comes on like you lilli and xenarc guys

Also, a little off topic, but is the brightness and contrast working for you guys in OSD on your 700H?

I'd like to get mine to turn on automatically too.

My brightness/contrast is not working for VGA but does work for other input sources. I find that night driving is too bright even with gamma dimmed!

Seeing as nobody seems to know about a software 'auto on', I will open my baby up & find a electronic method.
    Will post instructions shortly.

Or even get the "warm up" period down below the 5 seconds or so it takes now from pushing the button to seeing the picture.

Hold on thanking me, the news is not good.
I took it appart earlier. The way the front buttons are read by the micro, is via resistance. So there is not a unique input which can have a capacitor circuit applied.
Its not impossible, but its not simple either. Especially as it is very hard to operate the unit dismantled for testing.

Are we sure there is no programming code method like the liliputs?

So no updates? I'm guessing this is a case of no news is bad news? Any close up pictures of the switch so we can see what it looks like (I am too lazy to pull my dash apart to take the screen out and more importantly too scared to rip the screen open to explore).

Is there any reason why you can't use a small relay with a resister of the proper amount in the circuit.

While we're on the topic of physically modding the 700H how about a power indicator...

Am I the only idiot who forgets whether he hit the power button or not?! The 5 second boot up delay of the LCD does not help with my stupidity.

Would it have killed em to put a 2 cent LED on the device
