anyone have any ideas, as i say if i touch the corner or anywhere near the edge of the screen its about a cm out?!?!
hi guys, long time reader, first time poster!
basically i went against the majority of people on here and bought the lilliput in dash 7 " motorised screen from ex audio at ebay, and received it a couple of days ago, it works fine, apart from the calibration!
as you know your meant to touch the four points, but the corners of the touch screen arent recognised when i press them, i can touch around the center and stuff, but when i press the edge of the screen it detects the press as being about a centimeter in, to give you an idea, if i press the `start` button in windows it detects it as being just above the start button. so obvoiusly there must be something wrong somewhere
im running it in vga mode in 640 x 480 resoultion as the handbook says, ive also downloaded the latest drivers for the touchscreen software. has anyone else had this problem and if so mind telling me how to fix it
anyone have any ideas, as i say if i touch the corner or anywhere near the edge of the screen its about a cm out?!?!
Do the 4 points cal. will fix.
cheers!!
ive tried that, but because when i click the corner where the x is on the screen the touchscreen translates it as being a cm from the left and a cm from the bottom; it detects it as a cm away so i cant actually press the X in the corner in the first place!?!?! and its driving me mad!!!
any other ideas, like do i have to set the res to a specific one or something?!?!
Resolution shouldn't matter.
I'd check the frame of the unit to make certain that a corner or edge of the frame isn't pressing on the touchscreen causing the problem.
You may very well need to RMA the unit. It sucks, but it's afact of life.
so it shouldnt be like that out of the box, if it helps, ive noticed that if i press the center of the screen all is fine, then as i move along to an edge of the screen it slowly goes out of sync until its a cm out? so you think its busted?, ive tried playing with the x and y offset but that hasnt affected things much....
