    Jumpy LCD display?

I've got a shaky LCD display now. I belive it's due from my hooking it up to a ignition-switched lead off the internal fusebox. Even though it was off during cranking this still may have frigged it up somehow. Methinks of replacing the voltage regulator on the circuit board but not sure if that'll do it. So I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem happen and how'd you fix it?

    Re: Jumpy LCD display?

if it still works, I dont think you would have killed the voltage regulator..... maybe try adding a second voltage regulator circuit with some capacitors for smoothing of the supply before it enters the LCD.......
    Project - GAME OVER :(

I've had regulators go flaky and not regulate well after a sudden blast of alternating voltage. I'm mulling over whether to open the LCD and replace the regulator, if it's not SMD, or leave it alone. I mean, it's not REALLY shaky, but it's noticeable when the vehicle isn't moving. Sounds like a project for a long weekend. Ugh!
