    Visor monitor quality

    I want to put two monitors in my car, one is a in dash motored vga display, the second is a visor rca display. I want to put the gps on the visor and have the other for everything else. With my current layout I cant use the in-dash for the gps because its to far from the normal view and I will get in a wreck if I set it up this way. I know that rca monitors are not as good as vga ones, but will they be good enough to show everything clear at about one foot distance? (distance from me and it folded against the windshield)

    how do you plan to send both rca and vga signals at the same time from 1 computer?

    I wish to have both a vga and rca output yes. I was thinking about getting a video card with a vga and s-video outputs. Then downgrading the s-video to rca. I know I will lose quality so I am open to sugestions on another way.

    GPS will be pretty unreadable on anything but a VGA monitor. The text will be blurred beyond recognition, especially with a monitor small enough to fit into a visor.

    plus, are there decent video cards available that will output vga and rca (or s-vid) at the same time?
    IMO, I would go with a dual vga out video card and install 2 vga lcd panels. This will cost more, but in the long run you will be much happier.

    How about fabricating your own VGA screen into your visor? i plan to put 2 VGA screen into my stock visor but still in research about how to fabricate and how it will stick and best quality so it won't fall out. good luck!

    and yes, if i would to fabricate a screen into my original cd-deck, it's too low which i would get into a wreck. so visor is the best way for me. which is in a SUV vehicle.

    I was thinking about doing that, but I can't find a vga monitor thin enough for that to work right. The thinest I have found is around 1 inch. While this is not horrible I am not sure how it would trun out mounted in the visor. If you can get yours to work I would like to see how you did it.
