    Planar 9.4'' LMT-5020

Ok, Sorry to bug everyone. I've googled and googled, but can't seem to find what im looking for. I need the pinout of the cable that you would plug into a vga connector (the cable that runs into the back of the lcd via the "mount" (see picture) Colors arent required but would help. I just need a datasheet or something for this screen. thanks!

That's a POS (Point Of Sale, NOT Piece Of ****, although after reading you may think that too) terminal screen, not a standard vga input. Requires the dedicated computer to go with it. Good luck!

    wrong, wrong, wrong

it works fine with a regular VGA cable, as long as it's set on 640x480

Then care to elaborate why I need powerstrip to make the screen not half and half as opposed to milk? (sorry just a little humor) the screen is split half and half if i dont use powerstrip. Maybe i have my two sync wires mixed up. If someone had the correct pinout for the cable i could check!

Ok smarty pants, read this: http://si87.com/MonitorSolutions/ctx/lmt5020.html

that is what I based my comment on, plus the fact that these were advertised on ebay some time ago as former POS units removed from service.

Your Planar uses an HD15 vga style connector, where regular monitors use a DB15.

Google the 2 for the pinouts, then compare and see what the difference is. Some video cards (like Green's Radeon) can support the HD15 pinout.

    Cool planar lmt-5020

I have been reading the replies to this gentlemans question regarding these "fussy" lil monitors. YES THEY WILL WORK!!! You must set your refresh rate to 640*480. I actually own several of these lil guys and I have the "stand alone" bases where you can position them and use a double vga /vw-1 male cable. They work PERFECT! Anyone interested in purchasing one of these lil guys COMPLETE with cable, power cord and self support base can contact me @ dluedee@chw.edu.
