c'mon there has to be someone out there that has had a similar problem with this monitor
I have just finished putting together (on my counter first) my carputer and finished installing all the software i want on it. However the last thing i did was install the touchkit software for my SP7 screen. After i installed that i turned the computer off and unplugged my desktop monitor and plugged in the sp7 lcd touchscreen. Turned on my computer and got nothing, the computer booted up becasue i could hear the windows log on screen. I then plugged my desktop monitor back in and of course video came up. The really strange thing though is that after i plugged my other monitor back in and could see the desktop agian if i would hit the blank lcd touch panel i could conrtol the mouse, I.E. open up start menu double click things etc ect.
So i guess my question is what am i missing. The touch part of the monitor is functioning properly but i can not get anyvideo up on the screen. Has anyone else had simialr problems with this monitor or am i just really missing somethin here,,,,, please help
ATI Radeon 9000 is the video card running on windows xp professional.

Have you try low down the resolution and refresh rate?

......I have had no prob with video or the touchsreen drivers
Yeah i have treid several different resolutions and refresh rates (everything from 640x480 60Hz to 1280x1024 75Hz) All i ever get is the blue screen with the text vga in the top left hand corner
I just plugged the monitor into my desktop computer and it worked perfectly even before installing any drivers????? what gives, the desktop is an nvidia card where as my carputer is ati. That would not matter would it?
It shouldnt, Hmm I cant remember and I dont know cuz Im not in my car right now but The unit doesnt have a reset button does it?
Edit: I think the only reset you can do on it is just disconnect the red and yellow then reconnect them....hmm In a lil I will go and check something with my unit in my car
Ok....... after i hooked it up tp my desktop and it worked i tried to hook it back up to my carputer and got the same bluescreen. I then went and hooked it back up to my desktop and Damn IT! got the same blue screen again. I have no idea what is going on???
Hey sorry its takin me longer than expected to go check that but I am at work and was going to use a laptop here but coudnt get ahold of the key to the room with all of the laptops plus its FREEZING BALLS over here........will have to try when i get off.....but where did u purchase ur unit from? .... any warranty? ...Im thinking it could be a bad unit
I bought the new unit here on mp3car.com.
That is the assumption that i am begining to come to, it seems to work intermidently (however you spell that) I left it unplugged from power and computer for a while and then plugged it back into my desktop and it worked agian, i dunno.
If there is not some sort of hard reset on this thing or any other last ditch effort i am going to see about exchanging this for another one.
